The world looks different through the lens of a camera.  We notice things like color, lines, light, shadow and frame in new and unique ways.  Our minds become open to possibility.

Can photography also change the way we look at gender dynamics?  We think so!

WEEMA International is honored to be partnering with KIOO Project to empower girls (and boys!) through photography.  This month, we will be organizing a 2 week intensive photography course for 20 students in Grades 6 and 7 (10 boys and 10 girls.)  Not only will they be looking closely at the world around them, they will also be taking a closer look at themselves.  And that's a beautiful thing.
